Estimates on this site are estimates, built from a simplified usage and tariff model and from data published by retailers and regulators. Before switching, check the retailer's own Basic Plan Information Document for the most up to date and accurate terms and pricing.
No liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Grid Rates and its operator exclude all liability for any loss or damage, direct or indirect, arising from your use of this site or from any decision made in reliance on it. Plan data comes from third-party feeds we don't control; we correct errors we're told about, but we make no promise that any figure is correct, current or complete. Nothing here is financial advice. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to re-supplying the information.
No warranty
The site is provided as-is and as-available, with no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, suitability for any purpose, or uninterrupted availability. We may change or withdraw any part of it at any time.
Uploaded bills
A bill we can read is not stored. If we can't read one and you agree to us keeping it, we keep it encrypted for 7 days to build a reader for its format, then delete it. While we build it, the bill may be processed by Anthropic's Claude, an AI service in the US. We do not sell it, or use it for anything else. If a bill fails to read and you leave an email address, we use that address once, to tell you when that bill format is supported.

These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia.
